<p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>
Reporting to the Manager, Administration and Operations, the Café Assistant is responsible for menu planning, food ordering, stock control, record keeping, food preparation, and serving students and staff, while maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at all times.</p>
<p>This is a permanent part-time position, working 25 hours per week during term time, across 40 school calendar weeks per year.</p>
<p>Monday to Friday – 8 am to 1 pm</p>
<p><strong>What you will do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and implement healthy menus in accordance with guidelines, including ordering stock online as required.</li>
<li>Prepare nutritious meals for students and staff while maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times.</li>
<li>Assist parents, staff, and students with online orders and enquiries, ensuring allergies and dietary sensitivities are accurately recorded.</li>
<li>Carry out administrative processes and other assigned tasks to support the effective achievement of college outcomes including Processing Purchase Orders.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What you need</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Previous experience working in a tuckshop or canteen, including the ability to operate basic equipment as required</li>
<li>Willingness to obtain an <strong>I’m Alert</strong> or <strong>Food Safety Certificate</strong> prior to commencement</li>
<li>Maintain a neat personal appearance and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times</li>
<li>Experience working in fast-paced environments, consistently delivering high-quality results both independently and with minimal supervision.</li>
</ul>
