We are seeking a suitably qualified, innovative and experienced Chinese Language teacher for a part-time ongoing position.

<ul> <li>Part-time (0.8 FTE), ongoing position</li> <li>Join a community that celebrates culture, language and excellence in education&nbsp;</li> <li>Interstate and international applicants are welcome, subject to the right to work in Australia</li> </ul> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Primary School Chinese Teacher has a responsibility to the Head of Primary School via the Director of Primary Academic Education – PYP Coordinator and the Associate Director of Academic Education – PYP Coordinator to exercise the purpose and values of the school in and out of the classroom and to provide a learning environment that fosters the pursuit of excellence and the attainment of each student’s potential.&nbsp;</p> <p>The role of the Primary School Chinese Teacher is central to the holistic development of all students. The Academic Program, Pastoral Care System, the spiritual life of the School and Co-curricular Program play a vital role in this holistic development, with participation in each of these areas an expectation of the Teacher.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are a dedicated and passionate language educator who thrives on bringing culture and communication to life in the classroom. You will have:</p> <ul> <li>Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua)</li> <li>Experience teaching Chinese in a Primary School or equivalent setting</li> <li>A talent for creating engaging, authentic learning experiences that promote linguistic confidence and intercultural understanding</li> <li>Collaborative spirit and the ability to inspire and lead colleagues</li> <li>PYP experience or a strong understanding of Inquiry-based pedagogy</li> <li>A relevant tertiary qualification and teaching credentials</li> <li>ACT Teacher’s Registration (TQI) or eligibility to obtain one</li> <li>Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills</li> <li>A commitment to the broader life of an independent school</li> </ul> <p>All team members at CGS are required to have:</p> <ul> <li>A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card</li> <li>Excellent technological literacy across a range of applications</li> <li>A current National Police Check; and</li> <li>Full working rights within Australia.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits for you</strong></p> <p>As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a workplace that genuinely invests in your wellbeing and career development.
