We work closely with families, community organisations, and support services to provide wraparound support that addresses both educational and personal development needs.</p> <p><strong>Our Young People&nbsp;</strong><br> Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.&nbsp;</p> <p>We recognise that each young person’s journey is unique. Our staff are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empowering learning environment where young people can develop confidence, reconnect with education, and work towards their goals.</p> <p><strong>Our Team&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Our North Melbourne campus opened in 2012 and is our largest face-to-face learning community. Located on the edge of the CBD, it supports a diverse cohort of young people, many of whom are re-engaging with education after complex personal experiences. Staff here thrive in a collaborative environment that’s fast-paced, relational, and deeply rewarding</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The Instructional Leader – Wellbeing is responsible for playing a vital role in supporting young people to succeed in their education. Working closely with the Program Director - Senior, you’ll help strengthen the quality of teaching, learning, and student support across our campus. This role is grounded in the values of Edmund Rice Education Australia and aligns with the College’s strategic direction, vision, and mission. You’ll take a leadership and coaching approach to guide and empower our Wellbeing staff, fostering a culture of reflection, collaboration, and continuous growth. By modelling effective practices and encouraging professional conversations, you’ll help create an environment where every student is supported to flourish and reach their full potential.</p> <p>You will be employed on an ongoing basis, commencing&nbsp;as soon as possible, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.</p> <p>Classification for the role is an ESS Cat A level 3&nbsp;with a fixed term POL 3 for 3 years, with a salary range of&nbsp;$82,148 to $93,079&nbsp;(depending on education and experience).</p> <p><strong>You will need</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty</li> <li>Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work or related discipline or equivalent education and experience.</li> <li>Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and provide a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months)&nbsp;</li> <li>3 years of experience in a similar role.</li> <li>Strong Interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with a range of people</li> <li>Experience in supporting young people with disability and/or neurodivergence</li> <li>The ability to inspire and engage young people with learning activities</li> <li>Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential</li> </ul> <p>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People are encouraged to apply, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity.</p> <p><strong>To Apply</strong></p> <p>Please visit our website, learn about our work, and review the position information in Careers at <a href="https://saintsed.elmotalent.com.au/careers/default/jobs" rel="nofollow">Saints College Careers</a>.</p> <p>Applications must be submitted using the Apply on our careers page and include:</p> <ul> <li>A letter of introduction and a one-page response to the duties and responsibilities listed in the position description and how you would meet them;</li> <li>A current curriculum vitae outlining previous experience and skills;</li> <li>Two referees (including contact details).
